Peptron Inc. is a South Korean biopharmaceutical company founded in 1997, developing proprietary sustained-release (SR) injectable microsphere formulations using its SmartDepot ultrasonic spray drying platform technology. The company has its own GMP manufacturing facility in Osong, Korea, producing 48,000+ vials per month of SR-exenatide. Peptron develops its own drug products (LeupONE for prostate cancer, SR-Exenatide for diabetes, exenatide for CNS disorders under NIH CRADA) rather than providing contract manufacturing services for others. This is a drug development company with internal manufacturing, not a CDMO.
